This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a forward-thinking financial services team where your expertise will directly impact client success. You ll manage the complete
bookkeeping lifecycle for a portfolio of 10 dynamic startup and small business clients handling approximately 1000 monthly transactions while supporting sophisticated tax planning strategies and financial optimization initiatives. This role goes beyond traditional
bookkeeping - you ll be implementing complex financial strategies maintaining direct client relationships and contributing to the firm s comprehensive approach to business consulting and financial planning.
Responsibilities: - Manage complete monthly bookkeeping cycles for 10 diverse startup and small business clients
- Categorize and reconcile approximately 1000 monthly transactions across client portfolio
- Maintain up-to-date financial records and ensure timely month-end closings
- Communicate directly with busy entrepreneurs to obtain transaction clarifications and maintain strong client relationships
- Support implementation of aggressive tax planning strategies and financial optimization approaches
- Generate send and track invoices while managing accounts receivable and payable processes
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements that drive strategic business decisions
- Collaborate with the accounting team on advanced financial policies and sophisticated client strategies
- Provide administrative support to enhance overall client service delivery
- Follow up persistently with clients on payment reminders and documentation requests
- Assist with payroll processing when required for client businesses
Requirements
- Bookkeeping experience in the US market with startup/small business focus
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online Accountant (required for daily operations)
- Experience with Xero accounting software preferred
- Exceptional English communication skills with clear professional pronunciation
- Strong customer service orientation with ability to handle challenging client interactions
- Proven client-facing experience managing multiple business relationships simultaneously
- Understanding of financial planning concepts and tax optimization strategies
- Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Experience supporting complex financial strategies beyond basic transaction categorization
- Availability during standard business hours for direct client communication and collaboration
