AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to be based in Orange CA; Denver CO; or Columbus OH.

About Buildings Places:
Our Buildings Places practice includes architecture interiors building and system engineering urbanism and planning landscape design strategy economics technology solutions asset advisory and cost and program management. This team assists our clients from strategy through project realization creating positive outcomes for those who occupy and use the buildings and environments we help to create. Our practice work includes a wide range of small to large projects in varied market sectors such Science & Technology Advanced Manufacturing Commercial Aerospace Higher Education Industrial and Process Transportation Aviation Sports and Federal market sectors. We look to combine beauty sustainability resiliency high performance buildings and innovation in our projects and believe these values can be instilled in any project regardless of size or budget.
The Mechanical Engineer will be capable of working with limited supervision to complete project design ideal candidate will have a passion for design mechanical systems and will be responsible for leading small projects for new facilities and renovation modernization and repurposing of existing buildings. On larger projects this person will support the Senior Engineer as needed. This person must be well organized able to demonstrate critical thinking quickly recognize issues and be part of the solution.
The Engineer knows how to perform the technical calculations and design understands the project requirements and the effort required to complete the work. The candidate should be able to design the projects from concept up to construction and delivery to the Client. Candidate should be capable of working independently with limited supervision to complete both small and large complex projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external clients is required. Candidate must be well organized be able to demonstrate critical thinking and can quickly recognize issues and be part of the solution.

BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering Architectural Engineering or similar field 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
