We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to lead and optimize our warehouse operations. This role involves overseeing daily activities managing inventory ensuring safety compliance and improving processes for efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills experience in logistics and a commitment to operational excellence.
Primary Job Functions:
- Assign workloads and daily tasks to Warehouse Coordinators.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Lead physical inventory processes to maintain accuracy and organization.
- Monitor inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy and resolution as needed.
- Manage stock rotation and ensure proper storage.
- Implement and maintain a controlled Cycle Counting program to improve inventory accuracy.
- Ensure accurate labeling and documentation for shipments.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to maximize efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Monitor Warehouse Coordinators to ensure safety procedures are followed when operating forklifts and other machinery.
- Promote a Safety First culture throughout warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain demand planning to streamline and optimize inventory.
- Communicate with other departments regarding inventory levels and order status.
- Collaborate with customer service to resolve shipping issues efficiently.
- Empower and delegate appropriately fostering autonomy and accountability within the team.
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve quality performance and efficiency of the team.
Qualifications :
Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering Logistics Engineering Execution Engineering or a related field required.
- 3 years of experience in warehouse distribution.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.
- Proficiency in ERP systems; IFS experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience in international import/export and working with third-party logistics providers.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Forklift operation experience required / train the trainer.
Travel:
- Travel to each warehouse location as needed (approx. 1040% travel).
Driving:
- Must hold a valid and unrestricted drivers license in country of residence.
- Ability to obtain a passport.
