Job Description

The Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) team is a world-class commercial organisation experiencing tremendous growth as we expand into new payment flows and continue to grow our core solutions. Our team brings payment solutions and associated services to clients around the globe.  Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses Middle Market Clients Large Corporate Clients Multi Nationals and Governments.  We work closely with Issuers Merchants FinTechs and other ecosystem players to deliver these services.  We believe that the market is at an inflection point whereby Visa can play a larger role in building and delivering solutions around the world. 

 

There is a rapid shift from plastic to digital credentials within the B2B payments ecosystem mirroring and building upon the same shift within consumer payments over the past decade. We are seeking a leader who can navigate ambiguity to identify B2B payment solutions to solve for clients and partners business problems and drive opportunities to advance the VCS business.

We are transforming the commercial payments landscape and looking for a Director B2B Solution Design to provide technical solutioning for client and partner opportunities new use cases and strategic priorities.  Focus areas will be virtual cards API and FinTech integration embedded payments and Agentic Commerce.

 

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • A deep understanding and practical application of B2B payments SaaS solutions and APIs.
  • Natural curiosity to explore the art of the possible and the ability to diagnose business problems and bring accurate repeatable solutions to market.
  • A passion for working with clients and delivering powerful solutions to clients and partners.
  • Experience in Product Development Sales and Solution Design.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work closely with cross-functional partners and teams.
  • Understanding of both the business and technical aspects of payments and a track record of delivering solutions that exceed client expectations
  • Strategic thinking innovation collaboration and problem-solving skills. Must be creative and hands-on have a bias towards action and inspire others with their vision.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the scoping and technical solutioning with clients and partners with a focus on virtual card concepts FinTech API integrations embedded payments and agentic commerce.
  • Bring breadth of knowledge and technical expertise to solution for new use cases and verticals.  Pinpoint and enable use cases related to commercial applications with the goal of scaling.  Identify ways to implement existing products to solve new business problems and capture requirements for areas that require development.
  • Act as a global subject matter expert on topics such as virtual cards embedded payments and agentic commerce.
  • Work cross-functionally and partner with sales strategy product leaders and regions to understand client and market needs diagnose problems and design and deploy fit for purpose repeatable solutions.
  • Lead and influence internal and external teams to solve problems develop strategies and launch new solutions.
  • Conduct focused workshops and discovery sessions to gather insights and define solution requirements. 
  • Develop requirements and collaborate with Product teams to prioritize resources effectively across initiatives.
  • Translate client needs into actionable plans that guide internal product development efforts.
  • Identify common client needs and develop solutions leveraging the best of Visas and third-party partners capabilities.
  • Confidently present and articulate the business value of proposed solutions to business leaders and executives.
  • Collaborate with diverse internal and external partners to develop sell and deliver solutions.
  • Partner with Sales and solution teams in region to close deals identify best-in-class ways to implement existing products to solve new business problems and capture requirements for areas that require development.

  • Mentor and lead team members on solutioning best practices consulting with clients / partners B2B payments and product capabilities

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.


Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications
-10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD
- Strong understanding of B2B payments with in-depth knowledge of virtual card payments value-added solutions for corporates payment tokenization and issuer processing platforms/providers
- Extensive experience with modern API concepts technical integration and file delivery
- Proven ability to lead a range of initiatives end-to-end to meet client commitments with a customer-centric orientation
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex initiatives in a matrixed and distributed global organization
- Natural collaborator with excellent communication skills and executive presence. Must be self-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity and have the ability to influence across multiple levels and organizations including internal and external stakeholders
- Adept strategic thinker problem solver and results-oriented pragmatist
- Strong oral and written communications as well as influencing and negotiation skills. Able to communicate complex technical concepts in a focused and well-organized manner
- Willingness to take on new challenges explore new ideas and be flexible with changing priorities

Additional Information :

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 176400.00 to 256000.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
