Principal Position Overview
The Principal is theschools instructional and operational leader whose primary responsibility is to set the schools strategy and ensure its successful execution. Through this means the Principal accepts responsibility for the achievement of the schools academic goals.
AssistantPrincipal Position Overview
The Assistant Principal isthe schools ancillary leader whose primary responsibility is to support via aleadership role the schools strategy and to ensure itssuccessful execution. The Assistant Principal assists the Principal as directed in the academic operational and counseling activities of the school.

RequiredQualifications
Experience
- Minimum three years of teaching experience
- Minimum one year of school leadership or management experience (strongly preferred)
- Candidate must be able to demonstrate the academic progress of students under his/her leadership and articulate the methods used to achieve those results
- Candidate must be able to demonstrate expertise in building a positive school culture
Education
- Bachelors degree
- Masters degree or higher in education or related field (preferred)
Certificates
- Illinois Professional Educator License (strongly preferred)
- Illinois Administrative Certification (strongly preferred)
