Application Engineer Machining Processes
Minerva OH On-site Full-Time
Day Shift Monday to Friday
We are seeking a skilled and driven Application Engineer with a strong foundation in machining processes and a passion for solving complex manufacturing challenges. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the productivity and tooling performance of large-scale manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and recommend optimal cutting tools based on machining parameters and applications
- Troubleshoot tooling and process issues offering data-driven recommendations
- Analyze tooling performance and suggest improvements through design enhancements
- Collaborate closely with manufacturers to drive tool life extension machine uptime and quality improvements
- Support process and manufacturing engineers with tooling-related initiatives
- Participate in daily plant production and tooling meetings
- Manage tooling vendors and oversee communication and updates
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or demonstrated expertise in Manufacturing Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with focus on:
- Cutting tools & metalworking
- Process design implementation & management
- Tool life optimization machine uptime and lean practices
- Proficient with CNC operations and tooling systems (indexable solid carbide etc.)
- Strong understanding of materials surface finishes and surface treatments
- Ability to read technical blueprints and engineering drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools especially Excel
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Excel (2 years)

- Tooling Management (2 years)
