The Sourcing specialist Indirect Materials assesses the elements of the Indirect spend category and helps to define execute and support ongoing and new initiatives. This position is responsible for supporting the Strategic Sourcing Team as it engages cross functional teams in enterprise-wide strategic sourcing initiatives. Works independently taking a proactive approach in supporting the Sourcing team in ensuring Strategic Sourcings value commitment to internal business partners is demonstrate critical thinking and have the ability to make effective business decisions.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible to manage assigned Indirect spend by focusing on vendor relationship Management Contract Management Service Agreements CAPEX SBR Supplier Score Cards Risk Mitigation Supplier Capability Assessment Supplier Performance Management and Supplier Discovery etc.
  • Negotiate with vendors to obtain optimum quality cost terms etc.
  • Gather analyze and present data to supervisor in order to identify cost saving opportunities.
  • Monitor sourcing projects and report on costs savings timelines and milestone status
  • Identify and propose to supervisor and alternative functional departments alternate vendors
  • Cultivate strategic alliances with all vendors
  • Supports site and cross site continuous improvement efforts to ensure efficient and effective sourcing activities
  • Reconciles price discrepancies with accounting if required
  • Manage vendor returns and maintain tracking of all returns cross sites

Job Knowledge Required

  • Bachelors degree in Bio Medical/ Pharma/ Chemical engineering or MBA preferred.
  • Experience required in cGMP manufacturing environment with familiarity in quality change management systems
  • 8 year of related experience within the Pharma industry or similar regulated industry
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment
  • Ability to perform pricing analysis and evaluations of total cost of ownership

The annualized salary range for this position is $83000.00 - $98400.00.
