COORDINATOR FAMILY RESOURCES (North Hill)
PURPOSE OF POSITION: The purpose of this position is to assist families in designated school(s) by developing coordinating and providing a comprehensive set of wraparound services to address non-academic barriers to learning that include but are not limited to basic needs health and wellness family development and financial empowerment. The Coordinator will support the launch and ongoing development of the Family Resource Center as a hub of the school--uniting educators community partners and families to provide all students with quality academic supports enrichment health and social services and opportunities to learn and thrive. In alignment with United Way of Summit & Medinas Bold Goals the Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison with community partners in the neighborhood(s) of the designated schools. CORE RESPONSABILITIES:
- Develop relationships with assigned school administrators staff students families and community stakeholders to develop and coordinate a comprehensive and strategic set of wraparound services to address non-academic barriers for students and their families including (but not limited to) family engagement activities youth development opportunities adult education early childhood programs and basic needs.
- Collaborate with a team of school personnel service providers and community stakeholders to document monitor and assess direct and indirect wraparound services for students and families. Resource referral and navigation data driven practices promoting inclusive leadership and shared accountability for results are key elements of the collaborative efforts.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to make changes to individual and team practices. Utilize data and outcomes to inform decision making with partners internal program staff and families.
- Collect and track accurate up to date records (including but not limited to) of family engagements family interactions family events for a minimum of 200 (elementary) student families and a maximum of 1000 (middle and high school) student families.
- Act as liaison between school administration UWSM staff community agencies internal and external partners.
- Maintain accurate and timely service coordination and partnership records.
- Participate in regular supervision and team meetings in a professional inclusive manner.
JOB EXPECTATIONS: 40% Internal / 60% External Facing.
DEGREE OF AUTONOMY: Work is performed independently within broad practices and procedures covered by functional precedents and policies that may occasionally require development of new procedures to accommodate changing requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Proficient in working with youth and families who have complex needs learned in studies for a Bachelors degree or throughout an accomplished career.
- Competent in MS Office products.
- Bilingual in e.g. Spanish/English or other languages commonly spoken in our school community preferred but not required. Candidates who can effectively communicate with students and families from diverse linguistic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: - Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background check drug and alcohol screen.
- Valid driver license and proof of insurance. Access to reliable insured automobile to be used for work-related travel in Summit & Medina County area.
- 10 % of travel
- Position is primarily a normal office setting requiring long periods of sedentary work at a desk and computer.
- Ability to routinely travel throughout multi-floor office utilizing stairs or elevator.
- Minimal lifting to 10 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to sit stand reach with hands and arms bend and stoop.
- Must be willing to work non-standard work schedule including nights weekends and other unusual hours on occasion.
- After-hours event attendance occasionally.
