What is the job about
Peerless Pump Company is seeking a junior manufacturing Plant Controller with a Finance background. The Junior Plant controller provides finance support towards the operational activities in Peerless including manufacturing logistics purchasing inventory and service operations. The position will be a point of contact between Finance and Operations responsible for delivering insights with respect to Operational issues. This position reports directly to the Finance Director and will operate daily out of the Indianapolis IN facility. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.
Your main responsibilities:
- Monthly review and reporting of Operations financial and non-financial performance
- Ad-hoc business support and analysis as well as structural updates and compliance
- Product costing review and follow-up
- Preparation of Operations forecast and budget input including annual standard costing process
- Inventory review in close collaboration with logistics team
- Preparation and follow-up of CAPEX business plans
- Involvement in SIOP process including variance dialogues with relevant stakeholders
Your background
We imagine that you have:
- Qualified candidates will possess Bachelor of Science degree in Finance or Accounting or similar.
- 2-4 years of relevant Finance experience preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Fluency in English.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Highly analytical
- Must be able to operate in a cross functional team environment across the company
- End-to-end value chain perspective enabling collection of data from multiple source systems and translation into consolidated views.
- Challenges proposals and decisions in a constructive objective and professional way. Provides alternative options and keeps the long-term interests of all stakeholders in mind.
- Ability to clearly and concisely summarize data and present conclusions.
- Use of spreadsheets and datasets to consolidate and analyze data.
- Proven ability to work closely with relevant stakeholders.
- Style that is collaborative service oriented and supportive.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and be self-sufficient.
- Super User in Microsoft Excel preferably experience with PowerPoint and PowerBI.
- Preferably knowledge of SAP (S4 Hana) FI BW and TM1 or similar ERP system.
