Crowed Grace International seeks an Accountant II at the Department of Defense (DoD) with a Financial Management Certification Level 1. The right candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial systems preparing financial reports providing fiscal advice to management and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Management: Developing and testing changes to financial management systems (FMIS) automating transactions and reconciliations and ensuring data integrity.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Preparing financial statements developing and implementing reporting procedures analyzing financial data and advising management on financial matters.
- Budget and Grant Management: Participating in budget preparation ensuring proper allocation and accountability of funds reviewing and authorizing accounts and managing grants.
- Audit Participation: Providing explanations of accounting procedures documentation of fiscal transactions and assisting in the formulation of corrective action plans during audits.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and adhering to government accounting requirements.
- System Maintenance: Working with information processing to resolve accounting records and system issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in accounting or related field.
- DoD FM Certification Level 1: This is a crucial requirement establishing a framework for professional development in areas like audit readiness fiscal law and ethics.
- Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills are essential.
- A minimum of five years examining analyzing and interpreting accounting systems records reports using GAAP experience in accounting military pay travel pay civilian pay or other related addition five (5) years experience and knowledge using Financial Management regulations and guidance at the DOD Air Force or ANG level.
A successful background check and drug screen is required
