Job Description:
- Boiler Operation:Starting operating and shutting down boilers including monitoring steam pressure temperature and water levels.
- Maintenance and Repair:Conducting routine inspections preventative maintenance and repairs on boilers and associated equipment.
- Safety:Ensuring a safe working environment by monitoring safety devices identifying potential hazards and implementing safety protocols.
- Water Treatment:Maintaining proper water quality through chemical treatment and other methods to prevent corrosion and scale buildup.
- Fuel Management:Monitoring and managing fuel supply to ensure efficient and continuous combustion.
- Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate logs of operating parameters maintenance activities and other relevant data.
- Troubleshooting:Identifying and resolving system malfunctions and breakdowns.
- Compliance:Adhering to safety regulations environmental standards and relevant boiler codes.
- Coordination:Communicating and coordinating with other plant personnel including maintenance and control room operators.
- Emergency Procedures:Responding to emergency situations and implementing appropriate shutdown and safety procedures.
- Thorough understanding of boiler operation including steam generation combustion and heat transfer.
- Knowledge of boiler maintenance procedures including preventative maintenance troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with safety regulations including boiler codes lock-out/tag-out procedures and confined space entry.
- Proficiency in operating and interpreting data from various monitoring and control systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
