Your Impact
Were looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in hardware development to join our dynamic this role you will play a pivotal role in spearheading the development and success of our hardware products leveraging your knowledge of mechanical design to partner successfully with cross-functional teams.
Location: Kassel Germany
What Youll Do
  • Develop fixed-site portable and mobile solutions focusing on durable designs that maintain performance in various operational environments.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through to end-of-life ensuring designs meet requirements for mechanical stability thermal efficiency and overall reliability under diverse conditions.
  • Create conceptual designs for new products considering factors that will influence cost size weight and environmental ratings.
  • Validate new designs using industry standard test equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical and RF engineers system architects and software developers.
  • Manage component and bill-of-materials (BOM) structures in PLM systems ensuring traceability and accuracy throughout the product lifecycle.
What Youll Bring
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a focus on product design.
  • Solid knowledge of engineering principles including heat transfer EMI and shock and vibration.
  • Fundamentals in simulation tools such as SolidWorks Simulation Ansys or similar software for thermal and structural analysis.
  • Experience in designing products to withstand harsh environments.
  • Hands-on experience with fabrication tools such as drills bandsaws and angle grinders.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address technical challenges.
  • Exemplary communication skills to collaborate successfully with cross-functional teams and present complex ideas clearly.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic dynamic environment with a high level of ambiguity.
