- Develop fixed-site portable and mobile solutions focusing on durable designs that maintain performance in various operational environments.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle from initial concept through to end-of-life ensuring designs meet requirements for mechanical stability thermal efficiency and overall reliability under diverse conditions.
- Create conceptual designs for new products considering factors that will influence cost size weight and environmental ratings.
- Validate new designs using industry standard test equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical and RF engineers system architects and software developers.
- Manage component and bill-of-materials (BOM) structures in PLM systems ensuring traceability and accuracy throughout the product lifecycle.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a focus on product design.
- Solid knowledge of engineering principles including heat transfer EMI and shock and vibration.
- Fundamentals in simulation tools such as SolidWorks Simulation Ansys or similar software for thermal and structural analysis.
- Experience in designing products to withstand harsh environments.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication tools such as drills bandsaws and angle grinders.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address technical challenges.
- Exemplary communication skills to collaborate successfully with cross-functional teams and present complex ideas clearly.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic dynamic environment with a high level of ambiguity.
