Where You Will Work
Our Technology Center is home to a team of globally recognized engineers and scientists who provide innovative mining processing and environmental solutions to our operations throughout the world. Our employees make use of state-of-the-art laboratories and test facilities including a fully automated analytical lab the first of its kind in the Americas. Employees provide direct support in a variety of areas: mineral processing hydrometallurgy analytical chemistry mineralogy process economics mining and geology.

What You Will Do
- Perform routine and non-routine chemical and/or metallurgical analytical tasks at assigned site.
- May collect samples which could include collection from rail cars or trucks in some locations
- Prepare samples for analysis using established tests and techniques.
- Assists with/performs routine chemical and/or metallurgical analysis and reporting.
- Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
- Perform other duties as required
What You Bring To Freeport
- Demonstrated knowledge of math chemistry and/or computer skills appropriate to the assignment
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Troubleshoot and diagnosis of process instrumentation for process optimization
- Knowledge in the maintenance and troubleshooting of PLCs transmitters electrical testing and loop checking
- Research and development of instrumentation testing and deployment
- Ability to regularly travel to different mine sites to assist in development and installation projects
- Demonstrated computational skills
What We Offer You
The estimated pay range for this role is currently$20.50- $28.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience qualifications skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. What We Require

- Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7 365-day operation.
