Flad is a national architectural firm currently hiring a Healthcare Process Improvement Coordinator. Integrated with project teams this role will apply design research and process improvement to inform planning and design decisions for Flads innovative and award-winning healthcare practice. How will your days be spent

  • Promote continuous improvement by advising and coaching others on the use of improvement science and research methods and tools in healthcare planning and design.
  • Work collaboratively with clients leadership and project teams to augment planning and design processes with process improvement and research driven philosophies. This includes contributing and facilitating process improvement and research studies for a variety of healthcare planning and design projects (e.g. strategic and campus planning feasibility studies and architectural projects).
  • Help plan and facilitate visioning planning and process improvement workshops with clients.
  • Work with clients and project teams to analyze current operations and processes identify opportunities for improvement and help translate future operations and process improvements into space needs and design.
  • Analyze and interpret data to quantify improvement opportunities and results. Produce and present meaningful metrics illustrations and insights in a manner that helps clients and project teams easily understand and apply the information.
  • Aid in data collection and analysis for pre- and post-occupancy evaluations and other design research initiatives; includes onsite data collection in healthcare environments.
  • Plan and facilitate meetings with a wide range of stakeholders including leaders clinicians front-line healthcare staff facilities and architectural staff on clinical and operational performance topics using effective meeting management tools and techniques.
  • Aid in proposal development for research process improvement and analytics services.
  • Promote continuous improvement and learning by coaching healthcare practice staff and project teams in process improvement methods tools and applications. Assist with dissemination and adoption of new tools approaches and research findings throughout the healthcare practice.
  • Aid in publishing presenting and submitting awards of related work.

What you bring to this role

Experience:

  • Five years of recent and relevant healthcare experience in strategy operations process improvement data analysis research architecture and design or equivalent required.
  • Able to be onsite for data collection for a week at a time to conduct interviews focus groups observations etc.
  • Experience with data analytics with ability to identify appropriate tools and methods to analyze and visually communicate different types of business problems and associated data.
  • Proficiency in searching and synthesizing information from external industry resources databases repositories etc.
  • Background in healthcare operations lean and process improvement facilitation and/or architecture and design preferred with the ability to apply insight from research process improvement and analytics to buildings and campuses. Experience conducting process improvement in healthcare environments preferred.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products including Word Excel Visio Project and Power BI required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Software SurveyMonkey and Tableau and/or other data and analytics tools preferred.
  • Proficiency in simulation modeling preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in industrial engineering human factors healthcare or business administration design design research data science analytics or other related degree required.
  • Master of Science in related field preferred.
