Skills and Competencies
3 years of experience in Reporting Analytics Information Systems or Database Administration.
Intermediate proficiency in SQL and Excel
Strong English communication skills (verbal & written)
Experience with business/system analysis and data modeling
Familiarity with Excel SalesForce JIRA GitHub and SharePoint (preferred)
Knowledge of Machine Learning concepts (preferred)
Strong background in business process analysis requirements design data modeling prototyping and detailed functional design.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Understanding and ability to apply Software Development Life Cycle practices and methodologies in a team collaboration environment.
Education
B.A. or B.S. degree required in Reporting Analytics Information Systems Engineering Business Analytics or Database Administration
Responsibilities
The Associate Data Analyst will lead sales reporting including closing monthly sales figures performing impact analysis and support Finance and External Reporting Stakeholders. This role will lead key analytics projects. As an experienced professional in the BI & Analytics space this individual will be relied upon to provide guidance/thought leadership in the project execution delivery space and liaise between IT and Finance. This position will primarily leverage SQL Server DataBricks SalesForce PowerBI Excel and Alteryx to close sales reporting and JIRA to collaborate and track projects in line with SCRUM practices.
Partner with IT to ensure data integrity and expand reporting capabilities
Partner with Finance stakeholders to deliver on Big Rocks (top priorities)
Partner with Data Management on Governance initiatives
Document business requirements for reporting requests provide training to business users support cases (requests) lead reporting Proof of Concepts as needed.
Provide execution leadership to the Data Warehouse team by defining processes guidelines and establishing ownership and accountability
Collaborate with IT project management to ensure delivery timelines are consistently met and the data and report quality meets the user expectations.
Develop a deep understanding of reports and business strategy.
Engage and support stakeholders and team leaders with fast high quality impact analysis and root cause analysis
Maintain relationships with strong communication
About the Team
The Customer Operations & Risk (COR) team at Moodys is a dynamic cross-functional group that supports enterprise-wide systems customer engagement and risk management. COR encompasses several specialized functions including Customer Engagement Business Systems Business Integration & Operations Risk Sales Performance Management and Learning & Development. The team plays a critical role in integrating acquisitions modernizing operational platforms and ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance across the organization. COR partners closely with business units to streamline the lead-to-cash lifecycle enhance customer experience and mitigate operational and data risks.
