Pipelayer

Tomlinson is Eastern Canadas leader in environmental construction and transportation infrastructure services.Our Sewer and Watermain division is currently seeking to hire Pipelayers to join their team. This position provides full-time hours and working from Monday to Friday from 7:00AM to 5:30PM. The successful candidate must have a valid drivers license and their own transportation to get to site.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:

• Check grades and read plans
• Knowledgeable of using a variety of hand tools and ability to cut pipe of various material
• Read grade stakes and have the ability to set up laser
• Strong knowledge of pipelaying techniques directly related to sewer and water -Watermain Sanitary andStorm.
• Working knowledge of pipe and fittings utilized in sewer and water main work.
• Ability to work with others and take direction from the foreman on site
• Help locate and expose underground utilities by hand
• Ability to complete work efficiently and correctly with minimal supervision
• Work in a safe manner to ensure safety of self and co-workers
• Not only limited to above

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years of experience working as a pipelayer
• Valid drivers license with own transportation is required
• Health and Safety training/Knowledge (Confined Space trenching and excavation First Aid/CPR an asset)
• Ability to work in all different types of weather conditions
• Potential for weekend work and working nights as needed
• Hoisting & Rigging Training
