The opportunity
The Afterhours Outreach Program operates with teams of two conducting assertive outreach within community in shifts both before and after business hours. The team drive and complete foot patrols in various locations based on referrals and data provided by other stakeholders in the homelessness space including the Red Cross Homelessness Hub Community Patrol and the Council. The team will offer information and referrals and assess those in particularly vulnerable situations with the possibility of putting them into emergency accommodation if needed. You will operate from a strengths based and capacity building framework to ensure the promotion of social inclusion human rights participation and consumer choice.
In this position you will lead and supervise a dedicated team of Case Workers who provide advocacy and referral to housing and support agencies support with personal and practical needs crisis intervention and regular case reviews.
