The Role: Senior Principal Analyst Metals and Mining Research.

The Team: The Metals and Mining Research team is a global group of analysts that produces research on the upstream side of the metals and mining industry including the major annual Corporate Exploration Strategies study an industry leading survey. The team values collaboration and innovation as it seeks to give actionable information on the health of the industry to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team of analysts to ensure timely and accurate delivery of research reports.
  • Manage and contribute to the monthly quarterly and annual reports including the corporate exploration budget survey.
  • Present findings and insights at webinars and conferences enhancing the visibility of our research.
  • Provide client support and address inquiries from the North American audience.
  • Collaborate with industry leaders to gather and analyze data for strategic insights.
  • Identify growth opportunities within the metals and mining sector to support business development.

  • Collaboration and leadership: You are able to work both alone and in a group setting working towards a larger project goal while ensuring those who report to you are supported for their tasks.
  • Communication: You are comfortable talking and presenting to peers clients and industry professionals.
  • Industry knowledge: You have exposure to the metals and mining industry from you education and work experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Geology Mining Engineering Economics or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the metals and mining sector with a focus on research and analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting at webinars and conferences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with industry-leading research methodologies and data analysis tools.
  • Strong networking skills with industry leaders and stakeholders enhancing collaboration and data gathering.
  • Experience in client support and engagement within the North American market.
  • Experience managing a team and delivering complex reports
