We are seeking caring responsible and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants/Nannies to support our early years classrooms. This role is essential in helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the preschool including supporting children s routines learning activities and toileting needs. The ideal candidate will work in close collaboration with the teaching team to create a warm safe and engaging environment for children aged 18 months to 6 years.
Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Support
- Assist the classroom teacher in preparing and maintaining learning environments including materials resources and displays.
- Support children during daily routines learning experiences transitions and rest time.
- Reinforce classroom expectations and support children s social and emotional development.
- Assist in creating a safe and welcoming environment that reflects the approach.
- Toileting & Hygiene
- Support children with toileting routines ensuring privacy dignity and cleanliness are maintained always.
- Change nappies assist with potty training and guide children in developing independent hygiene habits.
- Follow school health safety and infection control procedures including correct cleaning and waste disposal protocols.
- Health Safety & Supervision
- Maintain vigilant supervision of children both indoors and outdoors.
- Support safe arrival and departure routines in coordination with teaching staff.
- Immediately report any concerns regarding a child s health or safety to the class teacher or a member of the leadership team.
- Operational & General Support
- Help with the preparation and serving of snacks and meals when required.
- Maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of classroom and toileting areas throughout the day.
- Organism clean and store learning resources and equipment appropriately after use.
- Provide general assistance to teaching and support staff as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior experience in early childhood settings or as a nanny preferred.
- Basic understanding of early childhood development and care.
- Ability to follow direction and work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of managing active supervision and personal care routines.
