Trade Compliance Manager TCRS4510
HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW
The Trade Compliance Manager is an individual contributor role that will be responsible for supporting import and export processes managing vendor communication and driving continuous improvement while ensuring adherence to all applicable U.S. Mexican and Canadian Customs and other government agency regulations.
This is a hybrid position based in Orange County California.
EXPECTATIONS
- Lead and document product classification for HTS and ECCN understand applicable rulings to apply
- Determine Country of Origin and support USMCA certifications
- Serve as primary liaison for internal and external partners including customs brokers
- Develop and implement trade compliance procedures and processes; HTS COO Valuation etc.
- Manage internal audits ISA assessment implement corrective actions and maintain trade records
- Translate complex trade compliance regulations into operational processes and strategic initiatives
- Monitors SOPs KPIs and provide leadership updates on trade related activities
- Partner with Mexico and Canada counterparts to ensure consistent and accurate trade activities
- Collaborate with cross functional teams on compliance related issues (engineering finance mfg)
- Own and manage classification tools and software applications including leading enhancements
ESSENTIALS
- Licensed Customs Broker required
- 5 years experience in trade compliance preferably with a manufacturer
- Expert knowledge of import/export regulations and processes HTS ECCN COO Valuation etc.
- Strong understanding of USMCA and reconciliation
- Experience with trade automation software Integration Point and ACE
- Strong attention to detail critical thinking skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Strong data and analytical skills with proficient MS Excel knowledge
