As a maintenance mechanic you will be responsible for fabricating installing and repairing machinery and equipment in an industrial establishment. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team!Job Description
- Performs PM activities as required.
- Communicates with co-workers from the previous and following shifts to discuss problems and concerns.
- Communicate with operators setups and utilities.
- Actively participates in continuous improvement activities.
- Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Operates lathe to grind file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.
- Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.
- Orders supplies with purchase requisition according to work order assigned through Team Leader.
- Competent with machinery sequence of operation to locate problem area(s).
- Competent with mechanical fitment thread sizing and assembly.
- Make repairs and modifying Hydrogen Nitrogen Methanol and Natural Gas systems.
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Examines form and texture of mechanical parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used mechanical parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repairs and replaces defective mechanical parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts.
- Starts devices to test their performance.
- Records maintenance actions performed in computerized maintenance system.
- Assist other associates as directed by the Team Leader and / or Supervisor.
- WI location and understanding.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
Associate Degree in Mechanical-related field or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
