Progressive Directions Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Middle Tennessee. At our Common Ground Caf we combine inclusive job training with excellent community service. Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Caf Job Coach to lead the Internship Program at Common Ground Caf. This position involves supervising and training individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities while also handling front-of-house responsibilities such as greeting customers processing orders and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Supervise and coach Caf Interns in food service customer interaction and job readiness skills
- Serve as the main front counter staff: take orders operate the POS system and provide outstanding customer service
- Maintain compliance with food safety laws and health regulations
- Track intern schedules performance and submit documentation for billing and payroll
- Conduct intern orientation meetings and communicate with guardians regarding schedules and concerns
- Assist with general caf duties including inventory restocking cleaning and catering orders
- Promote the internship program through social media contributions
- Retrieve supplies and attend staff meetings as needed
- Collaborate with the Supported Employment and Community Engagement teams

To be considered for the Job Coach position all candidates must meet the following requirements:
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid TN KY or AL drivers license
- Satisfactory background check and clear driving record
- Strong communication multitasking and organizational skills
- Restaurant or food service experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for most of the shift
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday 6:45 AM 2:45 PM
