This position is currently located at Anson Correctional and will work with the female inmate population. In addition duties could also require the SAPC to manage a caseload if the need should arise. This position reports directly to the ACDP District West Manager and is responsible for all resources administrative supervision and program operations for a substance abuse treatment program as assigned. The individual selected for this position will be experienced and knowledgeable in evidence-based substance abuse treatment modalities as well as possess skills and credentials required to provide effective program supervision. This position provides administrative supervision for all assigned staff developing work schedules issuing work assignments providing supervision and performance monitoring/evaluation maintaining a high bed utilization rate with supporting documentation and performance measure recommendations. Quality assurance and outcome measures are assessed and monitored by this position with results/recommendations forwarded to the District West Manager. This position will collaborate with stakeholders to further the ACDP mission vision and goals. FULL TIME- LIMITED POSITION
The current shift for this position is Monday-Thursday (10 hour days).

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years experience working in a criminal justice environment within a correctional facility jail-based substance abuse treatment program or a community based substance treatment program that serves offenders adjudicated through the criminal justice system after credentialing has been obtained.
Necessary Special Qualifications
Credentialed as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or in an equivalent credential from a governing authority recognized by the NC Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board.

TheAlcoholism and Chemical Dependency Programs (ACDP)section promotes innovation rehabilitation and protection through the planning and implementation of substance use disorder screening treatment and reintegration services within the Department of Adult Correction.
ACDP identifies substance use disorder as a chronic condition that results from a combination of genetic psychosocial and environmental factors and can lead to addiction and/or fatal outcomes if left untreated. Programs are based on best practices and evidence-based principles from NIDA and SAMHSA.
DAC uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act with the most qualified individuals. Hiring salary will be based on relevant qualifications internal equity and budgetary considerations pertinent to the advertised position.
