Certification licensure or registration commensurate with assigned discipline (i.e. registered nurse or licensed dietician or licensed social worker or registered environmental health specialist orlicensed nursing home administrator or licensed pharmacist or licensed physical/occupational/speech therapist) AND 18 mos. exp. conducting inspections of long-term care or non-long term care providers/suppliers &/or health care services AND successful completion of federal Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) AND valid drivers license.

About Us:
ODH is looking to hire two (2) Health Care Facilities Field Surveyor Supervisor 1 for the Bureau of Survey and Certification. Primary worksite (headquarter county) flexible based on location of final candidate.
What Youll Do:
Supervise assigned health care facilities surveyors and assist higher-level supervisor in planning and coordinating survey and inspection activities relative to long-term care and non-long-term care providers and suppliers (e.g. state licensure surveys federal certification surveys complaint investigation surveys and licensure activities not requiring onsite visits to providers or suppliers):
Train assigned survey staff on survey processes.
Provide orientation to new staff and monitors training progress in coordination with training supervisor.
Approve workload scheduling & travel itineraries of staff
Conduct regular staff meetings to lead/guide activities of staff.
Review deficiency citations.
Make recommendations for licensure or enforcement action.
Conduct administrative reviews in response to provider requests.
Regularly go on site to observe surveys evaluate surveyors & identify training needs of survey staff.
Conduct probationary and annual performance evaluations.

Unless required by legislation the selected candidate will begin at Pay Grade 14 Step 1 of the Exempt Pay Range Schedule ($39.22 per hour) with an opportunity for pay increase after six months ($41.46) of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
