The Customer Order & Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for managing customer orders from receipt to delivery ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills to coordinate with internal teams and external customers effectively.

Our Vandalia facility is located 50 minutes north of the GE Aerospace headquarters and sits just north of the city of Daytonknown widely as the birthplace of aviationwhere the Wright Brothers built the worlds first aircraft in their bicycle shop in the heart of downtown Dayton. This business boasts a rich history in operation for over 100 years. At over 140000 square feet the Vandalia facility rests on 27 acres right off Interstate 75.

At GE Aerospace in Vandalia we specialize in manufacturing and servicing world-class power generation and electrical control and distribution equipment for a variety of aerospace customers. Vandalia is also home to a product development lab where operators and engineers work together to invent the future of flight.

Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor order status and proactively address delays or issues to meet delivery commitments.
  • Collaborate with production logistics and supply chain teams to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Communicate order updates and resolve customer inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of orders shipments and customer interactions.
  • Analyze order trends and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with lean principles and company goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Management or a related field from accredited college/university (or High School Diploma/GED plus a minimum of 6 years of experience in business/finance/sourcing/supply chain roles)

Additional Information

  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status.
  • Ability and willingness to sit onsite at the Vandalia OH facility 5 days per week (no remote option)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in order management customer service or supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in aerospace or manufacturing industries.
  • Familiarity with lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
