Job Description
Crosswalk Guard needed at:
Center Elementary School / PreSchool: Irving Street:
Candidate will work with the current crosswalk guard servicing two entrance/exit points
- Morning drop off : 8-8:45 am (45 minutes)
- PreSchool first release and second drop off 10:30 am-12:15 pm (1 hour and 45 Minutes)
- Aftrenoon pick up: 2:00 pm-3:00 pm (1 hour)
- Typically five days per week M-F School year 180 days: 17.5 hours per week
Start date: 8/26/2025 and end date depending on extra days is 6/18/2026
$18.25 per hour
District Crossing Guard
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must pass Massachusetts criminal background check
- Report and recommend safety related issues to the Lead Crossing Guard
- Bilingualism is a highly desired skill for a position but not a requirement
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proficient on current methods and regulations
- Monitor crosswalk and provides street crossing services for students at assigned crosswalk
- Report problems to the location specific Principal and Lead Crossing Guard
- Complies with all local laws and procedures
- Perform other such duties as deemed necessary by the School District
