Cascade AIDS Projectis excited to announce that we are hiring skilled and team-oriented Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager oversees the accounting operations of the organization ensuring integrity accuracy and transparency in all accounting activities. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions supervising two accounting staff coordinating funder audits overseeing compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the organizations mission through sound fiscal stewardship. The Accounting Manager works collaboratively with program managers development staff and executive leadership to ensure the responsible management of funds grants and other resources.
This is a Full-Time role working at our Davis St. location in the Old Town area of Portland OR. The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm with at least three days in office. The starting salary is $80000-$87000 a year depending on experience.

Who You Are
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field required.
- At least five years of accounting experience with a minimum of one year in a supervisory or management role; non-profit experience highly desirable.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ethical trustworthy and committed to maintaining confidentiality and the highest standards of integrity.
- Experience with grant accounting and federal/state grant compliance.
What Youll Do
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the organizations general ledger ensuring timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and non-profit accounting standards.
- Grant and Fund Accounting: Track restricted and unrestricted funds ensure proper allocation of revenues and expenses maintain detailed records for grant compliance and prepare financial reports and invoices for grantors and donors in accordance with their requirements.
- Audit Coordination: Lead preparation for several funder audits (i.e. not the annual audit) liaise with external auditors coordinate the collection and review of supporting documentation implement recommendations and ensure timely completion of audit processes.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Oversee processing of invoices and payments monitor accounts receivable aging and ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Internal Controls: Develop implement and monitor effective internal controls to safeguard organizational assets prevent fraud and ensure compliance with all governmental and funder requirements.
- Cash Flow Management: In coordination with Finance leadership monitor cash balances forecast cash requirements and recommend strategies to optimize the organizations liquidity and financial sustainability.
