Were looking for a Revenue Tax Research Analystto join our External ReportingDivision who will be responsible for the administration of an assigned tax including researching and implementing the effects of legislative changes and conferring with various LDR business to assess and modify tax administration functions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Seven years of experience in accounting financial auditing tax administration tax policy or law management analysis or administrative services in a financial setting; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus four years of experience in accounting financial auditing tax administration tax policy or law management analysis or administrative services in a financial setting OR
A bachelors degree with twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus four years of experience in accounting financial auditing tax administration tax policy or law management analysis or administrative services in a financial setting; OR
A bachelors degree in accounting finance business administration management economics or statistics plus four years of experience in accounting financial auditing tax administration tax policy or law management analysis or administrative services in a financial setting; OR
An advanced degree in accounting finance business administration management economics quantitative methods or statistics or a Juris Doctorate plus three years of experience in accounting financial auditing tax administration tax policy or law management analysis or administrative services in a financial setting; OR
Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or a current Louisiana license to practice law plus two years of experience in accounting financial auditing tax administration tax policy or law management analysis or administrative services in a financial setting.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:
In this role you will:
Collaborate and work with Policy staff Attorneys to complete assigned projects for assigned tax sections.
Research and interpret evolving legislation jurisprudence and industry trends to identify responsibilities and actions for the purpose of planning and coordinating administration of specific taxes.
Responsible for the development or modification of forms and instructions and confers with various business units for the development and implementation of forms and electronic applications.
Monitor statewide operations to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of tax compliance and the delivery of services.

Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
