How Youll Make an Impact
- Design and implement advanced power network applications for real-time control and analysis
- Collaborate with customers to understand needs and deliver tailored high-performance solutions
- Support software releases and troubleshoot complex issues with expert-level insight
- Contribute to continuous improvement in engineering practices and documentation
- Stay ahead of the curve with ongoing research in power systems optimization and market operations
- Represent Hitachi Energy in customer meetings industry events and technical discussions
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines
Your Background
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of experience in power network applications and control or Masters degree with 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong programming skills in C or FORTRAN and experience with Linux-based systems
- Solid understanding of power systems modeling power flow contingency analysis and optimization techniques
- Experience developing software for electric utilities or electricity markets
- Formal education in power systems optimization and data structures/databases
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on deregulated electricity markets is a plus
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
