Were looking for a detail-oriented people-focused HR Generalist who thrives on managing processes delivering excellent customer service and ensuring smooth onboarding experiences for faculty staff and students. This is a full-time 12month unclassified position. The appointment is available immediately.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for the HR Generalist include:

Student Employment & Federal Work-Study


Onboarding & Records Management

  • Launch and monitor all new-hire tasks in the NEOGOV Onboard system; provide login credentials and support to new employees.
  • Export completed onboarding documents to Ellucian Banner Document Management (BDM) and maintain personnel files electronically.
  • E-Verify new hires manage I-9 compliance and perform routine audits (I-9s driver authorization onboarding packets etc.).
  • Manage driving-record clearances and defensive-driving certifications for new and current employees.

Employee Separation & Property Recovery

  • Process separation workflows collect keys/ID cards/parking decals and exit employees in all HR systems on their final workday.

HR Operations & Customer Service

  • Monitor the HR inbox triage inquiries and deliver prompt high-quality service to employees supervisors and campus visitors.
  • Prepare process and update a wide range of HR documents (employment verifications portal content web pages HR portal cards etc.).
  • Support departmental purchasing: submit requisitions maintain annual inventory and handle travel requests.
  • Assist the Director and Safety Officer during ORM audits and serve on campus committees as assigned.
  • Attend professional development/training to stay current on HR best practices policies and regulations.

General

  • Perform mail drop off and pick up for the HR department when student workers are not available.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all federal state and institutional policies affecting HR functions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure smooth HR operations.

Transcripts from Foreign Universities: Prospective faculty submitting transcripts from foreign universities or schools must have the coursework evaluated for equivalency to United States-accredited coursework by a University-approved agency. The prospective faculty member is responsible for the cost of the evaluation. McNeese typically accepts evaluations by World Education Services () or Educational Credential Evaluators Inc..
