Job Description
This role will assist the e-commerce manager in managing day to day operations of the e-commerce department e-commerce platforms ensuring a seamless customer experience and driving online revenue through production efficiencies analytics team building and cross-functional collaboration between platforms and retail stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists the E-Commerce Manager in overseeing all e-commerce operations ensuring efficient daily performance and a positive cohesive team culture.
- Ensures accurate production reporting and scheduling within allotted hours.
- Uphold strict safety protocols creating a secure and productive environment.
- Fills in for E-Commerce Manager in their absence.
- Responsible for claim resolution and filing for lost or missing items addressing customer concerns and processing refunds as appropriate.
- Provides monthly sales data to the accounting team and collaborates to resolve any discrepancies.
- Oversees functionality of sales platforms ensuring timely resolution of any technical issues that may arise.
- Opens and closes the e-commerce facility daily ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained each day.
- In the event of staffing shortages it coordinates replacement personnel to ensure full operational coverage.
- Supports e-commerce item processing as needed to achieve production targets and maintain efficient workflow.
- This includes actively assisting in sorting preparing and listing items to ensure the facility meets expected production levels and can effectively manage inventory from incoming product trailers.
- Maintains efficiency and standards within e-commerce operations.
- Supports the authentication process for e-commerce items applying thorough checks to verify item authenticity before listing on sales platforms.
- Inspects items to prevent counterfeit products from being listed thus maintaining compliance with platform standards and reinforcing customer trust in the quality and authenticity of the merchandise.
- Ensures that all sold items are promptly shipped within the timeframes specified by each selling platform.
- Actively monitors shipping processes to identify and resolve any issues swiftly.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Requirements
- A bachelors degree is preferred.
- Candidates should have at least 1-2 years of experience in e-commerce retail operations or a management role with proven expertise in customer service and supervisory responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in e-commerce platforms and tools (e.g. Google Analytics Excel CMS-Content Management System eBay and Amazon).
- Knowledgeable in antiques and collectible items.
- Exhibits excellent customer service abilities along with strong leadership verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled in problem-solving and capable of making informed real-time decisions.
- Must be cross trained in all e-commerce associate responsibilities.
- Must be able to travel up to 3 days per week as needed within territory.
