This position is scheduled Monday - Friday scheduled 8a -1pm during the centers operational hours. The starting rate of pay is $15 -17 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. This is an onsite role at our center location: 207 Emerson Dr. NW Palm Bay FL 32907

The VPK Teacher coordinates engaging developmental activities implements a curriculum through Learning Beyond Paper that prepares children for school and enhances their pre-reading pre-math language and social skills. The Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Teacher serves as a model and mentor. In this role youll have the opportunity to build a dynamic classroom environment create fun-filled learning activities and support the growth and success of children
What Youll Do:
Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
Lead by example and encourage success through modeling and coaching
Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social cognitive and emotional growth
Follow all facility policies and state regulations
Maintain a personal and professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement
What We Need from You:
High School Diploma or GED and/or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study
FL 45 DCF hours with CDA and VPK Endorsement required

Must clear a level II background check
At least 1 year of professional early childhood training/experience and 1 year of childcare experience preferred
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
Strong understanding of childrens cognitive social emotional and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed
Effective in communicating with both students and parents to meet the needs of the children.
