The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Pediatrics seeks an outstanding Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
In this recruitment we seek highly talented Hematologists/Oncologists who will join a division of 38 faculty. The recruitment is part of an ambitious strategic plan to substantially grow our team of world-class pediatric hematology/oncology clinicians and investigators over the next five years.
The successful candidate will provide care to children with cancer and blood disorders at both Childrens Health Childrens Medical Center Plano and Dallas campuses and will especially participate in the expansion of both Plano and Hematology inpatient services. Candidates must have strong clinical backgrounds outstanding teaching skills and excellent communication skills.
Embedded within Pediatric Hematology/Oncology are several high-profile cross-cutting clinical and translational programs such as the Developmental Therapeutics Precision Medicine Cellular and Immunotherapy Young Womens Hematology and the Hemostasis/Thrombosis program within which is the 340b-funded Hemophilia Treatment addition Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at UT Southwestern is the lead site for the North Texas Sickle Cell Disease Clinical Trial Unit. As one of the nations largest pediatric cancer and blood disease programs (approximately 400 new oncology and over 1600 new hematology patients per year) in the nations fourth-largest metropolitan area the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center offers a superb milieu for career development.
