Job Description

Position Overview

The HR Intern will partner with the internal HR team and assist in planning coordinating and executing multiple human resources activities for the company. This role offers hands-on experience across various HR functions and provides the opportunity to work closely with business leaders and associates to support initiatives that drive organizational growth and success.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding Support: Assist with new hire orientation preparing onboarding materials and ensuring a smooth Day 1 experience.
  • HR Communications: Help draft internal communications such as newsletters policy updates and wellness announcements.
  • Policy & Process Documentation: Support the review and update of HR policies procedures and process documentation.
  • HRIS & Data Entry: Maintain employee records and assist with data entry in HR system.
  • Recruitment Coordination: Schedule interviews communicate with candidates and support pre-employment screening processes.
  • Recognition & Engagement: Track employee recognition programs and assist in organizing engagement initiatives.
  • Compliance & Training: Help coordinate compliance training sessions and maintain training records.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Assist in compiling HR metrics and dashboards and provide basic data analysis.
  • Exit Process: Support exit interviews and surveys and help analyze attrition trends.
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage the HR inbox respond to general inquiries and assist with invoice processing and document preparation.

Qualifications:

  • Education Requirements:
    • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Experience Requirements:
  • Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated integrity initiative and adaptability.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced evolving environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort working with data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.

Work Environment:

  • Physical & Social Setting:
    • Office-Based: Employees work in a professional setting with desks computers and meeting spaces.
  • Work Conditions:
    • Physical Demands: This role is based in an office environment with extended time sitting and looking at screens.
    • Work Hours: eligible for 20 - 30 hours per week
    • Travel Requirements: None.
