Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the two-week onboarding process for new employees focusing on plant layout circuit overviews equipment location and operator responsibilities.
  • Provide task training for all process plant equipment including initial and refresher training.
  • Manage equipment training records both on paper and in the INX system.
  • Support the Permit to Work Officer in maintaining safety systems and procedures.
  • Implement and manage the plant cyanide code including audit preparation.
  • Manage gas detection equipment (portable and fixed monitors).
  • Update and manage personnel training records in INX.
  • Act as a representative when dealing with contractors and coordinate consultants as needed.
  • Lead ICAM investigations for the processing department.
  • Assist in organizing and assessing the annual process risk assessment for the plant.
  • Identify areas for plant improvement and lead training presentations as required.
  • Attend trainings/development programs and perform other duties as assigned by the company.

Qualifications :

 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to groups
  • Minimum 2 years experience in plant operations (crushing grinding flotation CIL elution and mobile support equipment)
  • Minimum 1 year experience with LOTOTO and Permit to Work systems in mining or similar heavy industry
  • Strong safety background and understanding of energy types and isolation procedures
  • Ability to demonstrate and promote OGC values: Care Respect Integrity Performance and Teamwork
  • Commitment to continuously improving safe and efficient plant operations
  • Physical ability to stand sit demonstrate manual dexterity climb stairs and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and wear required personal protective equipment in a mine environment
