We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team and lead the charge in system integration and automation.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of software solutions for system integration and automation within the manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers process engineers and IT teams to identify automation opportunities and develop innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams to optimize manufacturing processes and develop software systems for efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain software applications that integrate with various manufacturing systems including MES ERP and PLCs.
  • Implement and optimize data acquisition analysis and reporting systems to support real-time decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure software solutions can grow as needed are easy to maintain and follow industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers encouraging a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay current with new technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree required Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering preferred.
  • 8 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on system integration and automation in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python Java C# or similar.
  • Experience with manufacturing systems such as MES or equivalent experience ERP and PLCs.
  • Strong understanding of data acquisition analysis and reporting tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of leading complex software projects from concept to deployment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based solutions and IoT technologies.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI applications in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
