The successful candidate(s) will be a Senior Materials Engineer for nondestructive testing and evaluation technologies for Wind Turbine products.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain material and special process specifications for nondestructive test methods and procedures.
- Work with suppliers to interpret specifications/standards and optimize production methods/techniques.
- Review supplier and service provider NDT procedures and techniques to ensure compliance with codes standards and specifications.
- Service projects support NDT process development for field inspection and validation. Interface with services teams and 3rd parties to develop field procedures.
- Work with RCA teams suppliers 3rd parties and field teams to establish requirements (equipment and processes) for inspection.
- Drive conversations between sourcing engineering and suppliers to optimize NDT (cost/benefit trade-offs).
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and standard work.
- Identify technology development opportunities for growth and investment.
- Provide engineering estimation of NDT examination performance for factory and in-service test conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a BS degree in relevant Science or Engineering field (Materials Physics Mathematics Mechanical).
- Minimum 7 years experience with non-destructive test methods and procedures.
- Minimum 10 years engineering experience.
- Fluency in English
- Ability and availability to travel (international and domestic) as needed (more than 30%)
Desired Characteristics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Hands on experience with NDT methods for volumetric (UT) and surface (MPI PT) inspection. Proficiency in common NDT methods for metals. Good understanding of other acoustic and electromagnetic test methods.
- Familiarity with casting forging welding and joining material processes.
