Job Description
Speech/Language Pathologist
Part-time (up to 4 hours/day)
School Year 2025-2026
Assignments and Locations to be determined
The Montgomery County School Board in Virginia is now accepting applications for part-time (up to four hours per day) speech/language pathologist positions that are available within our division for theschool year.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Hold a masters degree in Speech/Language Speech Pathology or Communication Disorder
- Hold or be eligible for an active license with a valid endorsement in speech language pathology issued by the Board of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP)
- Possess a professional understanding of speech/language disorders
- Possess thorough knowledge and ability to administer appropriate speech/language tests and support materials
- Demonstrate ability to support students by cooperatively working with parents/guardians and teachers
- Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes collaboration and managing coursework
- Create and maintain an inclusive supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
- Communicate effectively with strong written verbal presentation and interpersonal skills
- Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
- Demonstrate dependability punctuality and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have experience working with students with disabilities in preschool through high school
- Have experience delivering speech therapy services within an inclusive environment
FLSA: Exempt
SALARY: $43.33 - $60.25 per hour; commensurate with experience
