Responsibilities include:
Implementing WIC program policies with care and accuracy
Maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity during assessments
Providing nutrition education that is culturally and personally appropriate
Addressing nutrition health and breastfeeding concerns professionally and empathetically
Using evidence-based counseling techniques to support behavior change
Documenting nutrition and health assessments clearly and thoroughly
Creating individualized nutrition prescriptions
Offering appropriate referrals
Collaborating with families to establish realistic achievable goals
Conducting outreach clinics to expand community access
Engaging with community partners and supporting outreach efforts to maintain client participation
Qualifications:
Education in nutrition health or a related field
Licensure or registration as a Dietary Technician preferred
Knowledge of evidence-based nutrition and health practices
Familiarity with breastfeeding support and promotion
Strong communication and counseling skills
Ability to conduct clinical assessments and tailor recommendations
Flexibility to adapt to changing program needs
Passion for providing excellent client care
