Perform accounts payable functions through completing purchase orders check requests weekly check runs procurement card processing and 1099 processing while providing timely responses and excellent service to the Companys internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities:Process purchase orders checks and travel reimbursementsMaintain accurate recurring payables scheduleComplete various month-end and year-end reconciliationsProcess manual payments as neededWeekly check runs for all companiesVoid checks and vouchers as requiredReconcile petty cashMaintain lease schedule for assigned branchesTroubleshoot system problems when requiredAssist in 1099 processingProvide branch customer service by answering questions and resolving vendor issuesProcess procurement card and credit card invoicesAssist as backup to front receptionist for breaks days-offConform in all respects with applicable federal state/provincial and local laws regulations ordinances and other orders and to all company policies procedures and directives from supervisorsPerform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by managementRequirements:3-5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredAssociates Degree in Accounting or related field preferredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office-Outlook Word and Excel; and JD EdwardsKnowledge Skills and Abilities:Ability to pay read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate ratio and to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical/Mental Demands:Regularly required to sit and use hands and required to talk hear stand and required to lift/move up to 15 Requirements: include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions:Work in indoor office environment 90% of the level is usually moderate.
