Job Description:

Summary

Iowa State Online a unit within The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching is seeking a dedicated program specialist to help support all Iowa State Online internal and external projects from initiation through completion. This position contributes to communication efforts and assists in conducting data analysis for internal and external communications projects.

Example of Duties:

  • Schedule and support recurring internal team meetings and external meetings with strategic partners including preparing agendas taking detailed notes and managing follow-up tasks.
  • Support the creation formatting review and dissemination of semester and annual reports ensuring clarity consistency and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage and organize essential documents such as photo releases memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and other program-related files to ensure accessibility and compliance.
  • Identify collect and archive relevant articles and publications in a centralized research library to support ongoing program development and evaluation.
  • Create and manage stakeholder feedback forms and surveys using Microsoft Forms to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Organize and support video photo and other creative media projects including industry and alumni interviews for both internal and external initiatives.
  • Maintain consistent and professional communication with internal staff and external collaborators to ensure alignment and timely updates.
  • Maintain and update tracking spreadsheets for strategic initiatives and all online programs to ensure accurate and current program and project data.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.



Level Guidelines
Intermediate-level position with solid professional and/or technical skills working under general supervision to achieve goals
Applies broad working knowledge of the principles of the field to moderately complex difficult and varied problems and issues
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and resolve problems
Responds to a broad range of inquiries and requests
May provide training and/or direction to lower-level staff
May lead projects of moderate scope and complexity
Provides guidance to students
