Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer with strong expertise in semantic model creation to join our Business Intelligence team. You will play a key role in the migration of semantic cubes and fact contributing to a broader digital transformation initiative in the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of tabular cubes to semantic models.
- Design and implement star schema models and semantic layers.
- Ensure security performance and scalability of BI architecture.
- Create and manage Power BI Workspaces and Apps with appropriate access controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a robust Business Intelligence platform.
Qualifications :
Must-Have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Semantic Models.
- Proven experience in migrating Tabular Cubes to Semantic Models.
- Strong knowledge of star schema modeling.
- Proficiency in TMDL (Tabular Model Definition Language).
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with Power BI deployment using Azure DevOps.
- Power BI report development skills.
- Familiarity with SQL Server and/or Databricks.
Education & Certifications
- Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science Data Management or related field.
- 5 to 20 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence or Data Engineering.
Soft Skills
- Strong team spirit and collaborative mindset.
- Ability to defend technical decisions and communicate effectively.
- Capable of estimating workload and providing visibility on progress.
Languages
- English: Required
- French: Appreciated
