JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Commission Calculation and Management:
- Accurate Commission Calculations: Prepare validate and load commission data into the system. Review commission data for accuracy and completeness ensuring correct calculations across multiple regions currencies and business units.
- Commission Payout Processing: Ensure the timely processing of commission payouts by working closely with Payroll Accounting and Finance teams. Validate commission payout amounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Commission Accruals: Assist in calculation and management of the commission accruals ensuring that commission liabilities are accurately recognized and reflected in financial statements.
- Commission Reconciliation: Reconcile commission payments with sales performance data investigating any inconsistencies and working with teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Global Commission Management: Assist in the calculation of commissions for international teams ensuring that commission plans and payouts comply with local tax regulations currencies and business objectives.
Reporting and Performance Analysis:
- Commission Reporting: Generate detailed commission reports and dashboards that track commission payouts and performance metrics. Provide regular reports to management to inform strategic decisions.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze commission data to identify trends discrepancies or opportunities for optimization within the commission structure. Ensure that the commission plan aligns with business objectives and performance targets.
- Data Insights: Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on analysis of commission performance trends and discrepancies.
J-SOX Compliance Support:
- Assist with J-SOX Compliance: Support the design implementation and testing of internal controls related to commissions ensuring that all commission calculations and payments adhere to J-SOX requirements.
- Compliance Monitoring: Assist in monitoring compliance with internal control procedures and regulatory standards ensuring that commission payments are consistent with company policies and legal requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Finance and Payroll Teams: Work closely with internal teams such as Finance P&C and Payroll to ensure accurate commission calculations and smooth execution of commission payments.
- Commission Discrepancy Resolution: Assist in investigating and resolving commission-related discrepancies collaborating with relevant stakeholders to correct issues in a timely manner.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear communication to business leaders Business Development and Project Manager teams and other internal stakeholders regarding commission data updates and reports.
Special Projects and Process Improvement:
- Process Enhancement: Identify and recommend opportunities for streamlining commission workflows including automating repetitive tasks and optimizing reporting procedures.
- Special Project Support: Assist the Commission Manager in special projects such as the implementation of new commission systems or tools process optimization or data migration efforts.
- System Improvements: Assist with the testing and improvement of commission software and systems ensuring that tools meet the evolving needs of the commission program and business.
Other Duties as Assigned:
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks as required including financial analysis system upgrades and special projects. Support the Commission Manager in ensuring smooth execution of commission processes.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- High level of proficiency in commission calculation auditing and reporting across multiple regions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide actionable insights from complex data sets.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas pivot tables data analysis).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and convey complex information clearly to both senior management and other departments.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of sales compensation and commission best practices.
- Experience in using commission software and CRM/ERP systems (e.g. Salesforce SAP or similar platforms).
- Knowledge of J-SOX and regulatory compliance particularly in commission programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in commission management sales compensation or financial analysis with a focus on global commission programs.
- Experience in managing and analyzing complex commission structures for global or multi-site organizations.
- Proficiency in CRM/ERP systems (Salesforce NetSuite SAP etc.) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and the ability to troubleshoot commission-related issues across different departments.
- Knowledge of global payroll regulations accounting standards and sales compensation practices.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal controls in relation to commission programs.
