Please apply online at : Facilities Lead - Clark WilkinsContract Period: Year-round position non-exemptReports To: Facilities DirectorSupervises: CustodianPosition Goal: To coordinate and maintain a quality environment to promote safety security and excellence in standards for the daily operation of an educational : High School Diploma or equivalent supervision experience or 1 to 5 years custodial experience displaying leadership will be subjected to a criminal background check as required by law. (RSA 189:13-a)Pre-Employment Medical Examination signed by Licensed Physician indicating that the employee is medically capable of performing designated assignment. (RSA 200:36 and 275:3)Licensure/Certification Requirements: NoneEvaluation: Performance of position responsibilities will be evaluated annually in accordance with the approved administrative procedure for staff Considerations and Requirements:-Demonstrates aptitude for successful fulfillment of assigned performance-Knowledge of methods materials and electrically powered equipment used in custodial activities-Knowledge of basic sanitation and safety practices related to custodial activities-Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptablePhysical Requirements: Standing: Frequent Lifting: Able to lift 60 : Frequent Bending/stooping: FrequentSitting: Occasional Reaching: FrequentDriving: Occasional Push/Pull: FrequentGeneral Duties: Supervise train schedule and assist Custodians with all of the following general duties. Maintain an inventory of custodial/maintenance supplies and equipment.1. Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and safety.a. Clean floors carpets bathrooms walkways hallways classrooms playgrounds walls windows and all other areas of the building and grounds as instructed by supervisor. Finish floors using strippers and final finishes.b. Maintain effective lighting throughout the building.c. Empty trash and maintain safe area around dumpsters.d. Insure that floor and building areas are safe and secure. Unlock and secure doors and windows in buildinge. Maintain safe area within and around the building by removing hazardous debris.f. Assist with coordination of overtime and extra duty shift assignments.g. All other duties as assigned to specific position held (according to school building specific needs).2. Equipment operation and safety.a. Operate heavy-duty scrubbing buffing shampooing vacuuming and wet/dry pick-up equipment.b. Know proper safety techniques and procedures and wear protective equipment when required/requested.c. Report fire hazards and other emergencies.d. Perform preventative maintenance on cleaning equipment.e. Use of other equipment as assigned.3. Maintain the highest standards of professionalism.a. Demonstrate positive work habits by showing initiative cooperation dependability efficiency and productivity.b. Follow the guidelines of confidentiality as established by the school district.c. Attend and participate in relevant training sessions meetings and professional growth activities as requested/required.d. Perform in a professional manner when interacting with students parents faculty administration and co-workers.e. Abide by District Custodial Position Uniform Round- Perform routine building maintenance and all custodial duties.- Follow written work schedule and complete Cleaning Checklist.- Operate assorted power machines such as but not limited to scrubbing/buffing machines wet/dry vacuums rug shampoo machines etc.- Perform various tasks requested by head custodian principal and school personnel. Fulfill requests specified on work orders.- Responsible for checking all exits windows and doors to see that they are properly closed and locked. Secure building and set alarm.- Empty trash into dumpsters and recyclables into designated containers each day.- Climb heights to perform required duties- Sweep dry mop or wet mop floors and vacuum carpeted areas daily to remove dust dirt paper etc.- Help with snow removal when needed.- Available for additional work and/or overtime as required.- Perform other tasks as assigned.
