Location: Kent WA. These positions are 100% onsite at a space rocket facility with no possibility of remote or work-from-home.
Positions are 6-24 month contract-to-hire opportunities with high possibility to convert to FTE.

As part of a development team you will use the latest architectures and technologies in AWS to accelerate the development and adoption of data-drivensoftwarecapabilities acrossBlueOrigin in service ofBlues mission and beyond. This position requires a passion for innovation bias for action and a commitment to operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
Member of a full-stacksoftwaredevelopment team (Scrum)
Develop highly reliablesoftwaresolutions that are used acrossBlueOrigin
Participate in the development and maintenance of multi-tenant SaaS applications for new and existing capabilities
Actively participate in the different Scrum ceremonies as a team member
Contribute to standards and best practices and coach and mentor fellow and juniorengineers
Deep dive into your users problems and partner with product managers to find and create efficient solutions
Owningsoftwareservices for supply chain
Work with lastest AI/machine learning models and intergrate withsoftwarestack for supply chain
Required Qualifications:
Experience with Java or Python
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
5 years of experience as asoftwareengineerdeveloping with a focus on dataengineering and backend development
Experience working on a full-stacksoftwaredevelopment team in an agile development (Scrum preferred) with at least 3 years working in dataengineering with relational and non-relational datastores
Proven ability to learn quickly and develop creative solutions to complex problem
A passion for innovation learning and sharing knowledge
Ability to earn trust maintain positive and professional relationships and contribute to a culture of inclusion
Must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Cloud Practitioner or Associate Certification
Experience working in public clouds (AWS preferred) with infrastructure-as-code
Expertise in debugging profiling and improving application performance
Experience in design and development of cloud native solutions micro-services and backend systems
Experience working with in-stream data processing using Apache Kafka RabbitMQ ActiveMQ or similar technologies
Advanced level SQL and scripting
Manufacturing and/or Aerospace experience
Experience with data-intensive applications
