DevOps Engineer Contract Java/Web Services London (Hybrid)
Initial 6 Months Inside IR35 Competitive Day Rate
Were currently seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the delivery of modern Java-based web services as part of a large-scale digital transformation programme. This is a hands-on role embedded within a cross-functional engineering team working on backend services and some frontend delivery (web and mobile).
The role is based in London operating on a hybrid basis and falls inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
Build support and optimise CI/CD pipelines for Java web services
Collaborate with developers to enhance and automate build and deployment processes
Implement observability tooling across development and production environments
Troubleshoot issues related to builds deployments and application performance
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven DevOps engineering experience in Java application environments
Strong hands-on skills with Jenkins Bitbucket and CI/CD automation
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
Experience supporting frontend delivery pipelines (web and mobile) is a plus
Comfortable with scripting and infrastructure automation
Prior experience working in regulated industries such as banking financial services or insurance is highly desirable
Understanding of microservices Agile environments and cloud-based delivery (AWS/Azure)
