Are you ready to make a difference in your community The City of Florence Police Department is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as Police Officers. As a Police Officer you will play a vital role in ensuring public safety and maintaining order in the beautiful city of Florence Oregon.
As a Police Officer your duties include:
Ensuring public safety by maintaining order responding to emergencies protecting people and property enforcing laws and promoting community relations.
Conducting thorough investigations preserving crime scenes and preparing detailed reports to uphold the law.
Engaging with the community explaining laws and procedures and representing the City with professionalism and respect.
Operating police vehicles patrolling city streets and responding effectively to various incidents.
Minimum and Special Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience: A combination of education and training demonstrating the necessary knowledge and skills.
Age Requirement: At least 21 years old at the time of appointment.
Citizenship: Must possess or be able to obtain US citizenship per OAR .
Physical Ability: Meet physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties including running climbing and lifting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Language Skills: Bi-lingual ability in Spanish and English.
Education: Higher-level educational degree.
