Job Description

The Door person/ Bell person Attendant is the first point of contact with hotel guests and includes shift as a Doorperson Bell person and/or Lobby ambassador. He/she is responsible for greeting and providing a positive impression upon guest arrival/ departure. The Door man/ Bell person Attendant will escort guests to the hotel check-in area and to and from their accommodations when necessary. He/she will orient guests with the features of the property and their accommodations assisting the guest in any way to make them feel more comfortable. Guest Service responsibilities will vary and are inclusive of handling guest luggage delivery of fax newspapers etc. and include shifts as a Doorperson Bell person and/or Lobby ambassador. The Door/ Bell Person will also Direct traffic on the hotel porte cochere and ensure that the porte cochere and entrance are not obstructed in any way.

At all times the Door/ Bell person Attendants are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and making them feel welcome comfortable important and relaxed.

RATE: $17.50 HOURLY

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: the hotel is in a public business atmosphere which varies temperature based indoor and outdoor climate. The nature of this job is primarily indoors but will require some outdoor activity based on business. Some travel may be required in order to attend hotel events not limited to meetingsand trainingetc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged standing/walking for 8 hours. Ability to walk around the hotel up and down stairs stoop kneel lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and push and pull approximately 200 lbs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual or Multilingual
  • Prior hotel experience
  • Emotional Intelligence Training

The Door man/ Bell person Attendant is responsible for greeting guests and providing a pleasant hotel stay and memorable experience. The Door man/ Bell person Attendant has knowledge of the local area including restaurants landmarks shopping centers and or local attraction. The Door man/ Bell person Attendant will greet and provide a positive impression upon guest arrival/ departure and will handle other duties as assigned. The Door man/ Bell person Attendant is an integral part of our team at the property and works side by side with managers and associates on a day-to-day basis to anticipate and meet guests needs.
