The Land Warfare and Missile Defense Systems (LWMDS) Department supports Raytheon by providing world class technical expertise and engineering leadership to drive the design and development of world-class Air and Missile Defense Systems Sensors and Effectors. The LWMDS department leads all aspects of Systems Engineering that drive the development of complex systems to support Raytheons Land and Air Defense Systems (L&ADS) business area from our Huntsville AL location. LWMDS Department Systems Engineers solve technical challenges at the System of System (SoS) System Subsystem and Component levels.
Key technical domains include: Architecture Requirements Interface Definition Modeling & Simulation Radar Systems Effector Systems Battle Management Command and Control Communications Network Design and Battlespace Integration and Interoperability for Domestic and International customers.
This is an Onsite role in Huntsville AL.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
The individual will perform Systems Engineering activities on one or more of our many programs.
Support programs which may include: Patriot Air and Missile Defense Capability (AMDC) Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) Radar Development Contract (RDC) Standard Missile and other sensor or effector programs.
The individual will be responsible for developing requirements systems architecture and design updating and maintaining Interface definitions & description documents and radar systems engineering
Collaborating with other stakeholders such as customers and engineers from inside and outside of Raytheon.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience
Experience with Missile Defense Systems or other systems engineering experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
Experience with design development and analysis of radar system and software architectures
Experience with system and sub-system level requirements development design and documentation of system level software architecture
Experience with system concepts; detection discrimination track and signal processing algorithms
Experience with the development and coding of system models algorithms test vectors and evaluation tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance
Experience working with MATLAB (including object-oriented programming) Python C/C Java or DOORS
Modeling & Simulation development experience and data analysis
Experience with the software development process using Agile Methodologies and tooling including JIRA and Confluence
Experience with design development and analysis of radar system engineering
Experience demonstrating your communication technical writing oral presentation and interpersonal skills with customers and leading technical solutions to complex user needs

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
