Abatement Supervisor Eco Safe Abatement (Portland Oregon)
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate abatement crews on-site ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA EPA and local regulations.
- Plan schedule and oversee daily abatement activities including asbestos lead and mold removal projects.
- Train mentor and evaluate crew members fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
- Conduct site inspections hazard assessments and enforce all safety protocols and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with project managers clients and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain accurate project documentation including work logs safety records and compliance reports.
- Ensure proper setup and maintenance of containment barriers decontamination units and PPE usage.
- Troubleshoot project challenges and resolve issues promptly to keep projects on track.
- Oversee the proper packaging labeling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Participate in project planning estimation and resource allocation.
- Valid Supervisor Certification for asbestos abatement in accordance with Oregon state and federal regulations.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on abatement experience including at least 2 years in a supervisory or crew lead role.
- Proven experience running abatement crews on various project types (residential commercial or industrial).
- High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or safety training preferred.
- Strong knowledge of abatement methods safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen background check and physical exam.
- Excellent leadership organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and wear PPE for extended periods.
- Additional certifications (e.g. OSHA HAZWOPER lead safety first aid/CPR).
- Experience with project management software and digital reporting tools.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
